FAQs
Is AEO different from SEO?
AEO is a layer on top of SEO, not a replacement. SEO gets your pages indexed and ranked. AEO makes your content more likely to be selected as an answer in AI Overviews and conversational search. Most of the structural improvements that help with AEO also improve traditional SEO performance.
Can you improve existing pages or only create new ones?
Most AEO work is about improving pages you already have. Restructuring intros, tightening headings, adding evidence, and fixing schema are all changes to existing content. New pages are only needed when there are clear content gaps.
Do I need schema for everything?
No. Schema helps, but only when it is accurate and relevant. I recommend Article, BreadcrumbList, FAQ, and Organization or Person schema as a baseline. Beyond that, schema should match the content type and the queries you are targeting.
Does this help with AI Overviews only?
The improvements apply to Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, and any system that extracts answers from web content. The structural principles are the same across all of them.
How do you measure results?
